So what's it all about?

A Fairy Tale started out as a story about a guy who goes to a bar, discovers a multi-dimensional portal, and finds himself in a land straight out of Lord of the Rings. Didn't end up that way, though. It never ceases to amaze me how a story can take on a life of its own virtually drive the author where it wants to go. Mine drove me to a small lake in the mountains of Montana where all manner of crazy stuff happens.

It starts though with a who has lost a lot in his life. Michael lost half his brain in a freak surgical snafu and then his younger brother in a freak car accident. We catch up with him as he begins to think he's losing his marbles. Our hero is one of those "unlikely" kind.

Slowly but...

This editing stuff takes a lot longer than I thought it would. I forgot I had to make sure the story meets Smashwords' criteria so it can be downloaded into all of the different kinds of portable ebook readers out there. I'll start discussing the story itself in my next entries. Thanks for your patience.
